Born and raised in Germany, Sarah emigrated to London (UK) in 1997 to pursue a career in Contemporary Dance. She first encountered yoga 3 years later when a friend took her along to an asana class. Initially Sarah enjoyed the practice for its physical benefits - it complemented her work as a professional dancer. It was only much later, after a career change, that Sarah realised how much the practice of yoga also balanced her emotional body and helped her create space in the mind. Sharing these findings with others seemed a natural progression.
The decision to attain a formal teaching qualification was finally made after a blissful retreat with Tara Judelle (Embodied Flow™) on the Greek island of Paros.
Sarah trained for 18 months to receive the Yogacampus Teacher Training Diploma, which is accredited by Yoga Alliance International (US) and the Independent Yoga Network (UK).
She is passionate about continuing her personal & professional development and regularly studies with renowned teachers such as Elena Brower, Richard Freeman, Lalleshvari (aka Dr Claudia Turske), Tara Judelle & Shiva Rea.
In London Sarah was teaching at Hackney Forge E9 & Chisenhale Dance Space as well as assisting her teacher Tanja Mickwitz at The Life Centre in Islington.
After two decades spent abroad, Sarah relocated to Berlin in 2017, where she now teaches yoga at Pulse Pilates as well as freelance.
